Vick (reconnaissance systems officer) make a record-breaking nonstop flight of 15,000 miles (24,155 km) in an SR-71 Blackbird of the U.S. Air Force's 9th Strategic Reconnaissance Wing, at times exceeding Mach 3. They will receive the MacKay Trophy for the flight
